Crestview Elementary Nurse
Andi Pickering, better known as Nurse Andi, is a highly experienced and dedicated school nurse at Crestview who brings both expertise and a sense of humor to her role. With 17 years of nursing experience, primarily focused on caring for the neonatal ICU population, Nurse Andi ensures that the health and well-being of the students are top priorities. Her goal is to create a safe and loving environment where children can thrive academically and socially, all while sharing a good laugh.

In addition to her impressive educational background, including a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Nurse Andi holds a Master's degree in Nursing. This extensive educational foundation allows her to provide the highest level of care and support to the students at Crestview. Alongside her expertise, Nurse Andi believes that laughter is the best medicine and loves to bring smiles to the faces of the students she cares for.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Nurse Andi finds joy in watching her children participate in various sports activities. She is a passionate supporter of the Texas Tech Red Raiders and loves traveling to watch their games. When she's not cheering on her favorite team or helping students, Nurse Andi enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family, always ready to share a good joke or funny story.

With her friendly and caring nature, coupled with her sense of humor, Nurse Andi is not only a reliable healthcare professional but also a source of positivity and laughter for the Crestview community. Her belief in the power of laughter as the best medicine adds an extra touch of warmth and comfort to her already exceptional care.

A couple reminders:

  • Students with a fever of 100 or more or having vomiting or diarrhea need to stay home for 24 hours. They must be symptom free without the use of fever reducing medication to return to school.
  • Please call the front office when your child will be absent - (806) 794-3661
  • Students with severe food allergies, asthma or daily medications to be given at school will need a medication form filled out, signed and brought to my office.
