Hello!
My name is Lori Sechrist. I am so excited to start another Pre-K year here at Crestview Elementary. This will be my 22nd year in Early Childhood Education and my 2nd year at Crestview Elementary. I look forward to serving our youngest learners and their families here at Crestview Elementary.
A little about me...
I have been married to Kenneth for 25 years. We have two grown children. Ashli is 23 years old and a 2nd grade teacher in Lubbock ISD. Cody is 21 years old and pursuing an acting career in Los Angeles, California. Kenneth is starting his 36th year at Pollard Ford. My mom, a retired Pastor's wife, has lived with us for the past 4 years. We have a 12 year old Shih Tzu named Molly who is our precious and very spoiled fur baby.
A few of my likes and interests...
I enjoy reading, playing word games, and crafting in my free time. My favorite color is blue. My favorite food is chicken. My favorite candy is...anything chocolate. My favorite morning drink is French vanilla coffee. My favorite afternoon drink is cherry vanilla Diet Coke. My favorite sport is basketball. I enjoy many genres of music and movies but my favorites are action movies and classic rock.

I believe in Jesus and hold my faith dear to my heart.
I believe in the innate nature of human beings to be and do good things.
I believe people, including and especially the "littles", have the right to be heard and to have their words and convictions validated.
I believe in creating a safe environment for "littles" to think, feel, create, and express themselves.
I believe in the power of a positive mindset.
I believe that students who feel supported, empowered, safe, and validated have the ability to do great and amazing things.
