Frenship ISD is partnering with Lubbock Area United Way for United We Read, a community literacy initiative designed to inspire a love of reading among second-grade students. Each fall, volunteers visit classrooms to read a featured book, lead a hands-on craft and provide every student with a copy of the book to take home.
United We Read helps students strengthen early literacy skills and prepare for the transition from learning to read to reading to learn in third grade.
