After a month-long voting competition, the Frenship Foundation for Leadership was awarded $1,000 through the City Bank Community Rewards Program to continue their mission of giving back to Frenship students and staff.

Crestview Elementary first grade teacher Saundra Wimberley has a passion for local history and she shares that with her students each year. Since 2001, Wimberley has sponsored her class at “Candlelight at the Ranch” at the National Ranching Heritage Center at Texas Tech University.
This week Frenship students involved in the Superintendent Student Advisory Board and Willow Bend Elementary Student Council teamed up with the Rotary Club of Lubbock, and several other community partners, to fill backpacks with food for students over the extended holiday break.
The referral window for the Frenship ISD Gifted and Talented Program is now open. Parents interested in referring students in grades first through 11th must turn in the referral packet to their campus no later than December 10.
Frenship High School sophomore Cade Franklin started a shoe drive called Soles for Souls when he was just a third grader at North Ridge Elementary. Eight years later he is continuing the drive, collecting shoes for people in need.
Earlier this school year, Frenship ISD launched a new program called Threads and Treads, after receiving a large anonymous donation. Through this program, students in need are able to get brand new clothing and shoes.
Frenship ISD is excited to welcome Bryan Gerlich to the Frenship family as the new Director of Athletics. The district’s recommendation to hire Gerlich was officially accepted by the Frenship ISD Board of Trustees during a November 19 school board meeting. Gerlich will begin in January to kick off the 2022 spring semester.
