Veterans Day, observed every year on November 11, honors military veterans of all United States Armed Forces. This year, the students in third grade at Crestview Elementary put together a special program to honor veterans, under the guidance of Leslie Martin, music specialist at Crestview. 

 

The third graders were able to invite their family members to attend the performance, and there was a special section reserved especially for their family members who served in the armed forces. During the performance, students sang various songs such as the National Anthem and the official song for each branch of the military.  Students also made cards in their art classes to give to the veterans who attended. 

 

After the performance, the veterans in attendance were able to walk the halls with their family members, as all of the students at the schools lined the halls to cheer for them and say 'thank you'.
