“Our blue and our gold is a symbol that honors - the spirit that reigns in our hearts!” Welcome to the webpage of a Frenship alum/Frenship teacher! I was an honor graduate of Frenship High School, 1981, and have many fond memories of the challenges put before me and my siblings by our teachers, as well as friendships that flourished in Wolfforth, TX, growing up. I am very proud to be continuing the tradition of excellence in education as a 1st grade teacher at Crestview Elementary.
After attending Texas Tech and LCU, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics/Business and a master’s degree in Elementary Education. I also have extensive hours in recent years toward a doctoral degree in Education from Texas Tech. I taught preschool and then kindergarten in the 1980’s, and worked in the medical field for several years after that. Returning to education was a joy, and I began my 1st grade position here at Crestview in 2001.
My passion is young children – how they learn, why they learn, and what it takes to make the experience very positive and rich. When teaching a new subject, a child's sudden, audible gasp of recognition feeds my soul! I love local history and making quilts, too!
I have a Frenship graduate, college age son, Sam, who keeps me on the ball!
