On Wednesday, Frenship hosted a Strategic Planning Education Summit, the first of many steps in a planning process that will provide valuable feedback in order to shape Frenship’s future.

The Communities in Schools (CIS) program and Frenship elementary campuses teamed up with Patrick Mahomes’ 15 and Mahomies Foundation to take part in a reading encouragement project called Read for 15.

Crestview Kindergarten students gathered in the cafeteria on Wednesday morning, ready for a special surprise hiding under black tarps on the stage. As Crestview Principal Stacy Davis, Assistant Principal Tori Mahan, and PE teacher Ben Wade all pulled back the tarp, the kids were ecstatic.

Last week, Kindergarteners at Crestview read the book “Officer Buckle and Gloria,” and learned about how Frenship Police Lieutenant Amy Penn, and her K9 sidekick Lily, help protect them every day.

The strategic design process is a thoughtful and purposeful planning process that represents the collective voices of the community, administration, staff, and students to plan Frenship ISD’s future.

As a school district, Frenship ISD prides itself on ensuring that learners come first. Through the Homebound Services program, every student at Frenship is given the opportunity to reach their potential.

Students at Terra Vista Middle School are doing great things and the administration and teachers are taking notice.

Last week, the Frenship Foundation for Leadership awarded 38 grants across 13 campuses, totaling nearly $80,000 for Frenship educators during the annual Prize Patrol event.

First graders in Shelly Reid’s Reading Intervention class at Upland Heights Elementary learned about the events of 9-11 this week.

Each year the Frenship Gifted and Talented (GT) program uses a thematic unit of study to allow for interconnected activities and concepts. This year, the program is focusing on SYSTEMS, or a group of parts that works together for a purpose.
